Movements and Associations of the Faithful
A Lay Apostolate is an association of Catholic lay people — ordinary parishioners, not ordained — who have come together around a specific charism or calling. The word 'charism' comes from the Greek for gift: these groups are organised around a particular spiritual gift or mission — intercession, healing, evangelisation, service to the poor, family life, and many more.
Each apostolate at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish Ntinda is in full communion with the Church and enriches our common life in a specific and irreplaceable way. Whether you are drawn to contemplative prayer, active service, or community formation, there is likely an apostolate for you.
